Ekonomistlerle Sohbetler
I guess it was November`19 when I first see this book on an article by Assoc. Prof. Aysel Gündoğdu . Since at that time I had no chance to buy due to living abroad, I waited till first visit to Turkey which was in Feb`20 just a bit earlier than Corona Crisis. I like reading books which is about current time or at least which is about the time we live in, because when the time passes and we read books, we are not really in the mood to judge occasions in a suitable mindset. This time I got a chance to read book and taste the moment with all views.
The book consists of answers from 16 well-known economists from Turkey and there are 14 questions about the economy of world, US, China, Turkey, structural reforms for Turkish Economics, Industry 4.0, Interest and Inflation relation… The nice thing about book is that you are able to see different angles, views from different economists and able to judge in an objective filter. For example, until now I was not thinking that Turkey should focus on agriculture and tourism as a core area but a couple of economists really proposing this idea to have a better economy and bring into the potential to surface. Another example from book; for upcoming years, expectation is to have a more automatized world which might change the social structure of income levels and that might change whole producer – consumer relationship which is the base of capitalism.
I don’t want to name it as a comment or improvement area ,maybe more a wish for future:) out of 16 economists , only 4 of them women and hope it will increase in the future for a good balance. I like the book on how it is structured and as well questions were good enough to give the taste. The best part of it, you can find different views on a bucket where you are able to see differences. If you are interested in economics and able to read Turkish, strongly recommend this book:)

Ekonomistlere Sohbetleri, yanılmıyorsam Kasım’19 da , tesadüf eseri , Aysel Hocamızın Kobi Aktüel‘deki yazısından görmüştüm. Türkiye dışında yaşamanın bir zorluğu, kitapları rafa çıktığı anda değil, ancak bir zaman sonra denk gelen Türkiye seyahatinde alabilyor olmamız. Benim de kitabı almam Şubat’20’yi buldu 🙂 Bu anlamda güncelliğini koruması ve yazılanlarla yaşadıklarımız arasındaki bağı gözlemleme şansı elde ettiğim için mutluyum. Korona nedeniyle uzun bir süre gidemeyeceğimizi düşünürsek değeri bir kat daha artıyor!!!
Kitap kısaca Türkiye’nin önde gelen 16 ekonomistine yöneltilen 14 sorunun cevaplarından oluşuyor. Bence en güzel olan nokta, aynı sorulara verilen farklı cevaplar ve yorumlar sayesinde farklı bakış açılarını ve çözümlemeleri ardı ardına görmemiz.
Kitaptaki sorulara gelirsek; Dünya Ekonomisi’nden A.B.D. Ekonomisi’ne, Çin’in yükselişinden , Türkiye’nin 2050 yılında nerede olacağına, yapısal reformlardan işsizliğe, T.C.M.B’dan Endüstri 4.0’a kadar güncel olan ve şu aralar bizi çok yakından ilgilendiren bir sürü bağlantılı konuda çeşitlilik söz konusu. Soruların üzerinde tek tek durmayacağım ancak notlarımdan birkaç tanesini paylaşmak sanırım bir tat verecektir;
